Maria Jose Lora wins the title of Miss Grand International 2017
Miss Grand Peru Maria Jose Lora has been crowned Miss Grand International 2017. The finale of the beauty pageant was held today at Phu Quoc, in Vietnam.
Maria was crowned by Ariska Pertiwi from Indonesia, who had won the title last year. On winning the golden crown, Lora said, ”Thank you very much for believing in me. I had worked very very hard to be here.”
Maria dedicated the crown to all her fellow citizens back home. Addressing the women in her country, who are still suffering violence, she said, ”Get up. You can also make dreams possible.”
Maria will now be travelling all across the world, to spread the message of peace and harmony. And Miss Grand International 2017 seemed quite excited about the ensuing journey. ”I am so ready to travel the world!” she exclaimed.
